from the Porter-Cable unit of Pentair, Inc. (NYSE: PNR) were awarded top ratings
this summer from editors of leading trade publications, Frank J. Feraco,
president and chief operating officer of Pentair's Tools Group, announced today.

Hardware Show and will be featured in the December issue of the

-- The model BN200V12 cordless brad nailer was given the Retailer's Choice
Award from Do-It-Yourself Retailing, also at the National Hardware
Show, and the Innovation Award from Handy magazine. Both of these
magazines are expected to feature the BN200V12 in upcoming editions.
-- The model NS150A narrow crown stapler won top rating in its category in
Tools of the Trade magazine. Commenting on model NS150A, the
magazine's editor said, "... the Porter-Cable stapler rises to the
top."
-- The model 557 biscuit jointer was given a top choice award in the
September/October edition of Fine Woodworking magazine.
