Pentair Submits Financial Certification to SEC

ST. PAUL, Minn., Aug 13, 2002 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- Pentair, Inc. (NYSE: PNR) announced today that it has filed a Certification of Financial Statements with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Randall J. Hogan, Pentair's chairman and chief executive officer, and David D. Harrison, executive vice president and chief financial officer, executed the documents, attesting that Pentair's annual report on Form 10-K for the year ended December 31, 2001, its quarterly reports on Form 10-Q for the periods ended March 30, 2002 and June 29, 2002, as well as its Proxy Statement dated March 25, 2002 contain no material misstatement or material omissions.
