ST. PAUL, Minn., Feb 8, 2002 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- Pentair, Inc.
(NYSE: PNR) announced today that its DeVilbiss Air Power Company (DAPC)
subsidiary was named Home Depot's 2001 Vendor Partner of the Year based on the
tremendous success of the DAPC Ex-Cell pressure washer program. One of thousands
of manufacturers supplying products to the world's largest home improvement
retailer, DAPC was one of only 10 vendors presented with the honor and was the
only company within Home Depot's Paint Department to win the award.
The Vendor Partner of the Year award recognizes suppliers who demonstrate
outstanding performance in the areas of store service, new product
introductions, and high fill rates. The Home Depot noted that its relationship
with DAPC led to unprecedented pressure washer sales increases in 2001, compared
to those of the previous year.
"Pressure washers are the up-and-coming, must-have tool that can be used for a
multitude of do-it-yourself cleaning jobs," said Gene Swacker, executive vice
president of Pentair Tools. "Partnering with The Home Depot certainly affords us

market."
