Pentair HR Vice President Deb S. Knutson Resigns

ST. PAUL, Minn., Jan. 21 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Pentair (NYSE: PNR) announced today that Vice President of Human Resources, Deb S. Knutson, 47, has resigned effective today to pursue other business interests. A search for Knutson's successor is underway.

"Deb's contributions to the company over the last 15 years have been significant," said Randall J. Hogan, chairman and chief executive officer. "She has been instrumental in helping craft our strategic direction in Talent Management, and has provided valuable leadership in initiating positive change in our work environments, as well as leading human resource teams in many of our acquisitions and divestitures."

Knutson was named Pentair's vice president of Human Resources (HR) on September 1, 1994, after serving 13 months as assistant vice president of HR. Prior to joining Pentair's corporate office, Knutson led the HR function at Pentair's Hoffman Enclosures unit. Her 23 years of experience in human resources includes service with Federal Cartridge, IDS and McGraw-Edison. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of Minnesota.
