NEW ORLEANS - September 26, 2016 - Pentair, a global leader in sustainable water solutions, is showcasing its latest innovations at the Water Environment Federation's Annual Technical Exhibition (WEFTEC) in New Orleans, September 26 - 28, 2016. As a leader in helping to manage the world's water resources, Pentair provides deep technical experience and advanced design capabilities to provide integrated solutions to wastewater challenges facing municipal, commercial and industrial customers.
"At Pentair, we work to help businesses and communities better manage and treat their water supply - returning it safely to the environment or recovering and reusing it for other applications," said Phil Rolchigo, Ph.D, Pentair's Vice President of Technology. "As we see the quantity and quality of the wastewater changing from the way current infrastructure is designed, we are innovating to help our customers address these challenges more efficiently and sustainably."
Pentair is showcasing its innovative water and wastewater solutions aimed at helping its customers reduce energy consumption, downtime and operating costs:
- Fairbanks Nijhuis Vertical Turbine Solids Handling Pump - The unique design of the Fairbanks Nijhuis Vertical Turbine Solids Handling Pump utilizes a proven induced flow impeller design, thereby allowing for a wider variable speed operating range than conventional solids handling pumps. This provides flexibility to the operator to adjust for unanticipated flow demand or suspension velocities that could clog traditional pumps.
- Hydromatic Premium Efficient (HPE) Submersible Chopper Pump - The patent-pending cutting design of the HPE Submersible Chopper Pump ensures that stringy waste and debris are cut into small pieces, allowing the waste to flow freely through the pump. Its premium efficient motor delivers high starting torque for reduced risk of clogging during start-up, while the semi-open impeller design provides superior solids handling capability and increased efficiency.
- Fairbanks Nijhuis Pi7000 Pump Protection Panel - Designed to help improve pump efficiency and control operating costs, the Pi7000 monitors submersible pump operating parameters, saving important settings, recording events and data trends to alert operators of potential failures-helping to minimize unexpected downtime. Its remote monitoring option allows for the use of a smart phone application to monitor, receive alerts via text or email, or trouble shoot one or several pump stations from anywhere in the world.
- Helix Technology for Ultrafiltration - For industrial processing and water reuse applications, X-Flow's next generation tubular membrane with Helix technology helps to prevent the buildup of insoluble particles in high-solids ultrafiltration. With advanced hydrodynamics, the Helix technology can address challenging filtration applications while increasing productivity up to 100 percent and lowering energy consumption by up to 50 percent, depending on the feedwater quality.
- Pentair Intelliboost System from Aurora Pump - The new and improved Pentair Intelliboost Variable Speed Constant Pressure Booster System includes auto-commissioning capabilities, allowing for all system adjustments to be made based on a building's unique profile demands and eliminating the need for a product expert to perform start-ups. The state-of-the-art system determines the number of pumps needed, as well as the sequencing and speed, while also sending alerts to schedule preventative maintenance.
Showcased brands across the company's portfolio include Aurora, Fairbanks Nijhuis, Hydromatic, Myers, X-Flow and Delta Environmental.
